Kamerin Matheson, ND attended Queen’s University in Kingston, ON for a four year honours degree in Psychology and Health Studies, and it was only during her fourth year of study that she learned about Naturopathic Medicine. Immediately she became inspired, which began a further five years of education! She attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto and became a licensed Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in the spring of 2010.
Kamerin became interested in natural approaches to healthcare when her needs weren’t being met through conventional routes. Through research she learned about the Principles of Naturopathic Medicine. This resonated with her belief system immediately. Treating the root cause of symptoms and supporting the body’s innate ability to heal itself were two principles which inspired her decision to pursue this career.
Kamerin offers a natural approach to healing by utilizing a wide array of alternative methods such as Botanical (Herbal) Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine (including Acupuncture), Clinical Nutrition, Physical Medicine & Counselling and Homeopathy. Many of Kamerin’s patients are also very interested in alternative laboratory testing such as Hormone Panels, Heavy Metal and/or Food Sensitivity Testing.
In her spare time, Kamerin enjoys travel and the outdoors, cooking and baking, movies and reading.
